Pitch detection, not audio recording

1. When access occurs

Android asks for RECORD_AUDIO permission only when you open the tuner or an exercise requiring live pitch. Denying permission leaves the rest of the app available.

2. What is processed

The device reads short PCM sample windows and calculates pitch, confidence and stability. Processing is initiated by you to deliver the selected feature (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the signal relates to a person). It is not used for voice recognition, identity, advertising or biometrics.

3. Storage and transmission

• Raw frames are not written to a file or database.
• Raw sound is not uploaded or shared with any provider.
• Frames are discarded from memory after analysis.
• Only a derived training answer, correctness or detected-note result may remain in local training history.

4. Your control

Revoke microphone permission at any time in Android Settings → Apps → Fretuno → Permissions. You can also clear the resulting local history through Delete all data.
