Before you start
Is Fretuno only for guitarists?+
No. Choose guitar, ukulele or bass. The fretboard, string count and available tunings change with your instrument.
Do I need an instrument for every session?+
No. Tell the adaptive session when you do not have it with you and Fretuno will focus on listening, intervals, note recognition and notation.
What makes the sessions adaptive?+
The plan uses your goals, previous attempts, accuracy, estimated mastery and review timing. It gives more space to weak or overdue skills while still introducing new material.
Does Fretuno record microphone audio?+
No. Short audio frames are analysed in memory on your device to find one stable pitch, then discarded. Raw audio is not saved or uploaded.
Can I use Fretuno offline?+
Core lessons, training and on-device pitch analysis can work offline. Purchases, restore and subscription refresh require a connection.
